Can someone tell me what happen to these rabbits?

I was helping someone taking care of the bodies of their pet rabbits. They looked strange. Some of them had blood around their eyes. One had food coming out of its mouth. Could this be because there were foxes in the yard or a disease? I should mention these guys were kept outside in hutches. The oldest was between 4 and 5 years old.
