Baby shower drama, cousin does not want me to throw her shower?

I was super excited to throw my cousins baby shower and volunteered to throw it for her early in her pregnancy. She seemed all for it until I recently called to go over details of planning,,,she promptly informed me that her work friends were going to throw one for her and that she only wantthat's have one shower- thats it! I cant believe she did not speak up about how she really felt this entire time and feel quite hurt by her actions. Frankly I am fine with her friends having to go through the planning and etc. its how she went about this that has hurt me. I feel silly as maybe she felt this way from the start and just did not know how to tell me she doesn't feel like am "that" close to her, I feel awkward spending time with her now. Do you think I should address the situation or just let it go? Am I overreacting or justified to be hurt by her? After all throwing a baby shower is a nice thing and to dryly turn it down is hurtful especially in this way,,,I totally knew throwing a baby shower would be a PIA and since I wanted to do it despite that, I guess it is even more annoying. Frankly the way that she put it, does not even seem like I am even INVITED to her actual baby shower, as she put it" most of my friends are work friends and they want to throw it for me,,,"
