Problem is my boss...need serious advices plz?

Well as you can see from the title that I want to discuss and take advice from you regarding my boss.I am a girl and I have started my first job few months back.Problem in that my boss is very rude and arrogant.Although he has never scolded me or talked rudely to me but his behavior with other co workers of mine is making me afraid from him every day and I keep on thinking that it can be my turn next day.He gets angry very quickly,starts shouting on small mistakes,do not talk to any of his subordinate except office work and is very reserve with all of us..I really respect him a lot as he has progressed a lot at very young age but I am so afraid of him now that when I see him my heart starts beating so fast like it would break off my ribs.I start forgetting things in front of him.I start making mistakes due to nervousness when he is around.Although he is very polite and kind with me but who knows how long?How should I deal with this situation????
