My new born has Hydronophrosis!?

My three month old has been diagnosed with hydrnophrosis -it means severly enlarged kidney! Weeks ago she went in to septic shock do to this condition and i was so close in lossing her. Thank God she surrvived that episode. Now they want to do surgery on her since she is getting UTI all the time as soon as I stop the antibiotic! Has any one had a child that this happen to and if yes have they been able to live a normal life?
