I told her i loved her?

we've been dating for almost 6 months. i finally got the courage to tell her. here is the way i did it. we were walking back to her dorm and i said "can i ask you something?". she said "what?". i then said "what if i were to tell you that i loved you?". she looked at me and smiled. i then said, in a relieved sort of way "i love you". she then said "awww, that's so sweet!". she then said "come here". she then pulled me close to her and we kissed. she didn't say it back though. anyone know what to make of it?
