Should I Go to Court To fight This Ticket (A) ????Petty police officer?

I was sitting in my car waiting for my ederly mother at the courthouse in DC. I was IN my car with my hazards on waiting. A police officer was parked across the street from where i was sitting. There was no traffic I wasn't blocking anyone's path. She just came over and handed me a ticket. I umed that she was ok with me waiting because she didn't give me a ticket until 10 minutes later. i would have moved if she told me to (circled the block or something u know) Do u think i can win if I go to court or get my ticket reduced. it's $50 that i don't want to pay!!!! On my ticket she wrote (flow of traffic)
