Iv just been discharged from my consultant 9wks after a total hysterectomy?

however she was shocked to still see how much my tummy was swollen.when i sit down or lay down its soft yet when i stand it hardens like a football especially on the right side.she gave me a good examine and said the only thing she can think it is is GAS. yet i open my bowels every day and p wind ok. so has anyone any idea what it could be as its no sigh of going away. it was a bad hysterectomy and took along time to do.my sister said it could be fluid but she did keep tapping my tum if it is fluid will it go on its own??? thanks for any answers.
