Can I still become a clic rock/ rock 'n roll singer?

I have absolutely no interest in hip hop or rap or any of that! I have a huge pion for clic rock/ rock 'n roll (ex. Bruce Springsteen, Aero Smith, David Bowie, Rolling stones, etc etc) Is it still possible to become a professional musician singing in that genre? I've heard everywhere that Rock 'n roll is dead, and I really don't want that to be true! (BTW, I'm 15)
